Fiction has a funny way of presenting truths. Fiction has the ability to speak on topics non-fiction will never touch. Fiction brings a reader in.

I finished this 458-page turner in twenty-four hours. The story line centers around a teenager Blade who Dada is a rock star. Blade has “the life”. He has it all but feels empty. He goes on a Hero’s journey to find out about his mother.

The book reminds me of pivot points in my life. Like when I went to Haiti. Or when my girlfriend cheated on me. What came from those pivot points was extraordinary.

The book is written in poetic verse, which was a new style for me.
